This sculptural piece materialized as clay descended from my hands – yielding to gravity's gentle influence in a moment of artistic surrender. Its elegant silhouette is enrobed in a singular expression of Leather Rouge – a saturated red that transforms the entire surface into a tactile experience evoking the finest leather. The uniform application of this matte glaze creates subtle variations across its flowing form – slightly deeper in shadowed valleys, more luminous where light caresses its curved edges. TON.25.II celebrates the power of monochromatic restraint, allowing the sculptural simplicity to become its own eloquent statement. This commanding red absorbs rather than reflects light, enhancing its tactile quality while maintaining a chromatic purity that commands attention through quiet confidence. Mounted on hand-welded backing crafted by Taylor Forrest Studios in New York's Hudson Valley, the piece is completed by custom metalwork oxidized to a deep gunmetal black. The sculpture is illuminated by dimmable LED lighting, offering control over its luminous presence, and can be configured for either hardwire installation or plug-in convenience.
