Rich Aybar

RA Workshop is a creative studio founded in 2019 by Dominican-American sculptor and designer Richard Aybar. Rooted in a deep engagement with materiality, memory, and sustainability, the studio bridges fine art, craft traditions, and experimental design.

Drawing from Aybar's personal history and Dominican visual culture, RA Workshop produces sculptural furniture and objects that blend organic textures with industrial processes. Works often incorporate reclaimed materials-wood, rubber, metal-recasting waste into forms that explore impermanence, transformation, and cultural memory.

On view at Show: Room is his latest collection "Rubberworks," comprising of lighting and functional sculpture. Beckoning us in to touch and engage, these pieces, both soft to the touch and warm in their ambient light, create an atmosphere to be enjoyed.
