Six Dots

Six Dots Design is a North London-based workshop that pairs whimsical aesthetics with aluminum craftsmanship. Led by Joseph Ellwood, their studio creates furniture and homeware that bring playful elegance to the contemporary home. Through raw materials, expressive forms, and visible imperfections, Six Dots challenges conventional design norms to celebrate the beauty of making.

Their design ethos becomes most evident in the pieces selected from their North London workshop for Show: Room: the Pea Head Lamp, the Trinket Box, the Magazine Rack and their Candelabra, all featured here.

We particularly love the scuffs, grind marks, and scratches preserved in each piece: traces of the process of making and a testament to the hands that crafted them. These playful imperfections embody Ellwood's belief that design should encourage people to "create on their own terms," a philosophy that informs Six Dots' own work across the pond.
