Jake Coan
| Bio: Jake Coan grew up in Ghent NY, just 15 minutes from Hudson and currently has a studio in Great Barrington, MA. He attended Bard College ('13) with a Bachelors in Studio Art. For 9 years, Jake worked at the Brooklyn Robot Foundry, teaching engineering, and designing robots for kids. Since 2023, he has been a full time artist, primarily focused on lighting. His practice explores the merging of hyper-local natural elements (stones, leaves) with global hi-tech (LED, touch sensors). |
