Upstate Art Weekend - Drawn Here
Show: Room presents DRAWN HERE for Upstate Art Weekend.
Celebration party Saturday, June 27th, 5 - 8pm
Pocketbook Hudson, Fl 3
DRAWN HERE :
The Hudson Valley has a rich history of attracting artists who seek a place to nurture their creativity. Drawn Here contemplates over 50 artists’ work through the lens of its proximity to the natural world, not only as an idealized subject, but as a physical reality and lived environment that shapes, challenges, and drives a body of work. It asks the question: What does this place do to an artist’s practice?
Show: Room exhibitors answer this exact question: Part audio guide, part sonic collage, visitors will be able to hear artists like Julio Torres @spaceprincejulio , Misha Kahn @mishakahn , Alex Meltzer @meltz.studio , Jake Coan @jakecoan, and many more reflect on how their work and practice lives in conversation with nature.
Showing works and select audio from:
Rich Aybar @richaybar LikeMindedObjects @likemindedobjects Jack Rabbit Studio @jackrabbitstudio Ryan Decker @ry.deck Jesse Groom @_jessegroom_ Rae Wilson @eliraewilson and more…
